First of all, I want to thank everyone who left honest reviews here. I was considering applying for a place in Asheville sight unseen...because they said they could not show me the property due to repairs in progress. This particular place is being rented for a very competitive price and has been on the market for 40+ days. If you are in the Asheville rental market, then you know that this is not normal. Anyway, I’m grateful for the reviews here because, now, I know why. It sounds like this place has hurt A LOT of people. Thank you to all those who’ve taken the time to share their direct experiences—Sounds like you all saved me a lot of hardship.

This property manager is a prime example of a company just looking to get their money. My year living under this property manager has been utter hell. I moved into a duplex and the first day I try to cook dinner in my home, the oven door fell completely off. Obviously indicating NO ONE checked the applicances prior to moving in. After waiting a week to receive a response to my maintenance request, a woman named Sharon called me to ask me if the oven still works. Excuse me if I’m wrong, but what idiot would use an oven if the door falls completely off when you open it. On top of that she continues to ask me if the stove works...well yes, but the last time I checked ovens and stoves do two entirely different things. Then I had a leak in my toilet...one week after my maintenance request, this dimwit calls me again to tell me that she cannot send someone to check on my toilet unless I can tell her where the leak is coming from. Because I have no knowledge of plumbing, I had to call the property owner myself just to get anyone to even look at my toilet. I have had electricity issues since I’ve moved in and the electricians they sent out did not even look at the wiring in this very old home. Every time they told me they didn’t know what was wrong. So Phoenix took it upon themselves to determine that the issue is MY fault for having too many items plugged into my home. I currently have a refrigerator, washer and dryer, microwave, oven, tv, and a lamp plugged into my home. Not to mention the “quarterly” inspections that apparently happen twice a month and some strange man will walk into you’re home with NO NOTICE that he will even be by that day. I have always paid rent on time and often early and this last month I only paid half of the rent because I have to wait to get my additional paycheck. I have notified Phoenix pf this and stated I would pay on Friday and today I came home to a notice saying they’re taking me to court. IF YOU ARE A PROPERTY OWNER CONSIDERING PHOENIX, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. You’re better off managing your property and saving you’re money. You could manage the property and NEVER contact your tenants and still be doing better than these idiots. They do not care about others and the well being of their tenants and the properties they manage. They’re all too pretentious to care about anything but themselves and their paycheck.
